Step 1: Obtain a captain's packet and video from Brenda Severns, team recruiter. She can be reached at 419-795-7141 Step 2: Recruit 8 to 15 team members. This can be co-workers, friends, family, neighbors.... Step 3: Complete the TEAM REGISTRATION FORM . This form can be turned in as soon as you know you're going to have a team!! Step 4: Collect the $10/person registration fee from your team members. Turn it in with the completed PARTICIPANT registration forms as soon as possible. Each team member should complete a PARTICIPANT registration form. We'll take teams right up to the day of Relay, however if possible we'd like to have your team registered as soon as possible .. Step 5: Meet with your team to determine how you will raise your team donation. Each team member should collect at least $100 in donations. Step 6: Collect the money and turn it in to the Organizing Committee at any monthly meeting. Step 7: Divide up responsibilities to team members for logistics for the event.
Step 8: Set up your walking schedule to cover the 18 hour event. This can be broken up however best suits your team...1 hour slots are common, but 1/2 slots are good also. Step 9: Maintain ongoing communication with your team members about Relay plans and updates. Keep them excited about raising their monies and being a part of this awesome event! Step 10: Contact the Team Recruitment Chair with any questions you may have. We are here to help you in any way we can! Step 11: Have a great time at the Mercer County Relay For Life!
All registration forms this year MUST be the original, scanable forms from the American Cancer Society. Photocopies or old forms will not work this year. Contact us at 1-888-227-6446 and we will get you as many original forms as you need!! There are 2 types of forms you will need to complete for your Relay team this year.
